Dusty 's origin

DUSTY'S ORIGIN

While working at a florist in 1990, my sister, Georgette called me at home and told me to come to the shop immediately. When I got there she brought me in the greenhouse to the clay pot section. Way at the bottom of the shelf there was this tiny black and white kitten no more than a day or two old. We didn't know what to do. The boss came over and said we should leave it alone because the mommy is probably moving the litter to a quieter place. He said to check on it the next day. All that night I was thinking of that precious little baby. The next day I rode to the shop with my sister. We went to check on the kitten and it was still in the same spot now all covered with dust. We eventually named him Dusty. Across the street from the shop was the animal hospital where I bring my other cats. They kept him there for the day and being that he was so tiny, he required round the clock care and the hospital could not do it. They gave us instructions on how to care for him. We had Dusty for 10 years until he was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. He died of kidney failure in October of 2001. He is deeply missed. We love you Dusty.
