Jane and Georgette,
I am very sorry to hear about poor Ladie.
Be greateful that you were able to have her
so long. Ive always wanted a cat or dog but
can never have one since I am very allergic
to both. Sorry for your loss,

Angela

We are very sorry to hear about your loss.
When we had to have our dog April Dawn put
to sleep, she could barely walk etc as well.
She was so sick, but weighed 95lbs so kept
falling down when walking into the vet-they
wouldn't even give us a cart to use to help her.
It is good you have your memory page and was
able to have her cremated..remember all your
good times she gave you & you gave her ---

Jane & Georgette
What a sad sad time you have had. I know how
you feel I lost a beloved cat Perry to leukemia
9 years ago and we had the same as you. Just
stayed with him the last few days were so sad.
He didnt want to do anything except drink water
and sleep but he did not suufer at all. I hate
to tell you this but it doesnt get too much
easier I still miss him so very much but I
now have a fantastic cat called Richard he is
6 years and is a big ginger and white fluffy
cat we also now have a kitten that nobody
wanted and was going to have to be put to
sleep so we took him in and he is adorable he
and Richard get on so well but he is a
ragamuffin compared to our beautiful and
elegant Richard. Take care and be assured
that Ladie will be with you each day.

RitaÂ

Thank you for sharing the heart rending story
of Ladie, it is always a sad time when we have
to say farewell to our pets, but then of course
we think of the wonderful times we shared
together and knowing how happy and contended
they bacame as one of the family.

Derek

Jane,
I'm so sorry for you and Georgette. It's so
hard losing a baby you love so much. Our two
cats are like family members. Ladie was a
beautiful kitty and I know she loved the two
of you as much as you loved her!

Jan

Dear Jane / Georgette,
I send heartfelt sympathy for you in you time
of grief. The greater one's love, the greater
the loss. Being totally objective - for your
little cat a blessed relief from a most
debilitating disease, but i know it's not
easy to think that way at first.
bw,

Val

I am so sorry Ladie has passed on. Though her
suffering thankfully is over, you will miss
her greatly and she will always have a special
place in your heart.

Sherry

Dear Jane,
So sorry for your loss, I know it was a difficult
decision, but I also know that Ladie is now
happy and well at the Rainbow Bridge, greeting
her old friends and knowing that she'll see you
in the future. We're here to support you, and as
we've all gone through this, so we do understand!
Time helps to soften all wounds and fond memories
help the grieving heart....You take care, we're
here for you.

Chris

Jane,
She was suffering and now is at peace and at
rest. I'm glad that it's finally over for both
of you. Death is never easy but once we know
our darling furbaby is no longer suffering it
does help. I'm sorry for your loss as we both
know that there will never be another like your
precious Ladie! You are in my prayers.

Jan

I am so, so sorry for your loss. Please know I
am thinking of you.

Carol

I just finished reading and looking at the
beautiful pictures of Ladie. I lit a candle
for her. She has crossed the bridge and is
flying high with the angels in God's animal
kingdom and playing with all the other animals.
I send my prayers and thoughts to you as I
know the pain we feel when we have to say
goodbye to one of our babies. I just finished
reading "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates -
Examining further evidence", which helped me
so much with the loss of my Chelsie. I have
both of Gary Kurz's books and found them very
comforting. To live with love in our heart
for all the animals that pass our way is a
gift treasured and given.

Jane
My heart breaks for you. I know how hard it
much be to say goodbye.I too have had to go
through saying goodbye to my fur one's. Its
not easy but we in our hearts want the
suffering over for them. I can feel your hurt.
I wish your sister had been there to give you
the support you needed .But know your love was
known by all your love shown to Ladie. Now that
she has passed away you will find peace knowing
she is not in pain. That you did all you could
to help her in her time of need. My Prayers
for you that you will find peace! It's very hard
to let go but we all know its for the best.
Try to  think of the good things that you
enjoyed & realize she is at rest. Please take
care!!

Lois

I am so sorry for your loss. As much as it hurts
right now try to remember that Ladie is at the
Rainbow Bridge right now and is healthy and whole.

Bev, Lord Tum Tum and Jar Jar Binks

Oh Jane, I empathize too much. I did all I
could to help Junior, but in the week after
I brought home little Shelby he was barely
eating or drinking and not moving around much
at all. It still hurts and he's been gone since
May 29, last year. I hear the song "Chasing Cars",
think of how I used to just curl up with him
to comfort him, and it tears me apart. This is a
subject I talk about to few people, having
learned to keep it private growing up, when I
was mocked and called "a baby" for grieving so
deeply for pets, but this grief is as real as
any other, and if it helps you to know you're
not alone, it's worth sharing it with you. I
hope you have a faith base that helps you find
comfort and gets you through this knowing you
gave the most you could.

My heart goes out to you I'm so sorry to hear
the loss. I lost my catt a year ago of taking
bad seisures. How I miss her. She was the greatest
It took me quite sometime to get another one
but instead of getting one cat I got two. But
ladie knows you took great care of her and she's
in cat heaven looking down at you saying thank
you so much for caring for me. I know when my
cat died I cried and cried couldnt eat. If you
ever need to talk to me email me.

My deepest sympathies. :(

Jane
I could hardly see the pictures through my tears.
My sympathies, thoughts and prayers are with
you. I almost lost my Birdie to kidney failure
last March. He pulled through that and then was killed last
week. I thank God I had the few more months I
had with him. It is selfish to say but my vet
said his kidneys had much permanent damage and
that he would certainly have problems later
down the road. Maybe it was God's way to take
him before his health went down hill-who knows
what God has in store for any of us. I am
still mourning Birdie and think of him
constantly. Thank God he had 2 sisters and 3
brothers for me to give my love and attention
to or I would really be a basket case. My heart
goes out to you but I can tell that Ladie had
a wonderful, love filled life for the time she
was with you. Love to you and your other fur
babies.

SallB

I'm so sorry, Jane. But I know, from your
words, she had a wonderful life with you,
the best a cat could have.

Tracy

I am so sorry about Ladie's passing. I know
how hard it is to lose one of our fur babies.

Busy-Nancy

Oh, Jane!
I am so sorry to hear about that, because
it is causing you so much pain. But do
yourself a favor - I told this to Flippy
and Mia when they lost Romeo, and again
when they lost Tiffany. Go through your
house, and look at all of Ladie's favorite
places. Smile through your tears, as you remember
her in all of her glory, and all of the
things she did that brought such joy to you.
You have a furry little angel named Ladie
looking out for you.

Lynda-Marie Hauptman

My prayers are with you. My brother just
had to put his dog asleep a few weeks ago
and I know the sadness of losing a pet that
has become so intertwined into your life.
I dread the day that will come when I have
to put Kingsford or Lacey to sleep. I will
enjoy them while I have them.

William

Bless her heart. Now, may YOU be comforted.
I'm sure we all weep a bit for you and wish
the pain away. Hugs and purrs.

Carolkemo

I did my crying last night and then thought
of my dear departed Elmer 211/2 years across
the rainbow bridge and just cried some more
for me this time. We will all be thinking of
Jane and Ladie and sending comforting purrs
and wishes to her.

Cheryl XXXXXXXXX

Jane,
I am so sorry. My Samantha crossed the
bridge two days before Tiffany last year.
I still mourn her intensely, see her
everywhere, even in Murili, our new kitten
who does so many things the same.
Ladie will send you another, to console you
a little bit, when she sees that you are
ready and when she finds the perfect one.
A very very big hug.

Kiti in NZ

I'm also very sorry to read this news
Jane. My thoughts are with you but I know
Lady is now free of her pain and I'm sure
my kits and Flippy's kits are there
waiting for her.

Nadia

Jane!
My condolences on your loss. Ladie is now
over the Rainbow Bridge, young, healthy and
vibrant again.

Jane and Georgette
This message comes from some one that has
lost Skipper, Frisky, Bogey, and our Dutch
is going to be 12 years old. These 4
keeshond dogs that take the place of
grandchildren, (since we don't have any).
When you lose one it doesn't get any easier
then the first one. it was rough so we
know what you are going thru. it doesn't
say in the bible that pets are going to
heaven, but it doesn't say they aren't.
keep the faith,

love ETHEL and JIM.

Hi Jane,
Sorry to hear about your little Ladie. You
have to be grateful for the time you had
with her and know she is getting well-deserved
rest now with no pain. I know how you feel
though. It sucks so bad!!! Remember when we
lost Harry and then Mikey? Its amazing to
me how something that never said a word to
you, you love so very much! Hope you two are
feeling better and maybe we*ll see ya soon!
Have a happy Valentines Day!

Carol & Shelby

Hello Jane,
I am sorry about your cat, I know how
you feel. I had one and she was so smart
I taaught her to talk and say momma, and
my sons name BOB, I would tell her to go
wake him up and she would go in his room
saying BOB BOB lol, but she developed
kidney problems also female cats are prone
to it and she had a hysterectomy. She had
a very nervous system if you went to pet
her she would go into a seizure and she
also bit a big hole in her side and her
tail and then she bit her tail it was just
hanging by a thread, she also had diabeties
and I would have had to give her shots but
I couldnt even touch her. Well I took her
to the animal hospital and I put her down,
she was sufferring so much that when she
looked at me she had the look in her eyes
that said please let me go, and so IÂ kissed
her and loved on her and I petted her as
they put her to sleep. I couldnt let her go
on they way she was, she was suffering too
much. I know its hard and in time it will
get better, I heard a women that lost her
child say there are no loses only blessings,
and that's true you were blessed to have her
in your life and she was lucky also. And
when someone or a pet passes away its time
to celebrate their new eternal life! I will be
praying for you Ladies,
Love Your Friend

Linda Trueheart Stinnett

Jane,
I am so very sorry to hear of Ladie's
passing. I know how incredibly painful
it is. We lost 5 baby kittens this last
year as well as a few birds and one other
older kitten. I lost 3 of my adult cats
the year before last. We can only love
them while they are with us and then we
must wait our turn to cross the bridge to
be with them again. Thank you for sharing
her picture with me. Such a beautiful girl.
I am planting Morning Glorys around the
dogs/cats play area fence this year as
well as the ornamental fence around the
babies graves. I will make sure to plant
some of Ladies Morning Glorys around the
babies fence. Take care. I hope you find peace in the
wonderful memories you have of your sweet
girl. Thank you again for the seeds.

Kathy KatamiÂ

Our cats have such distinct personalities,
and they communicate perfectly. Losing them
is awful. But I gotta believe that somewhere
on this planet, a kitten was born with part
of that wonderful soul inside. A cat that
wonderful will never be lost to this universe.

Beautiful tribute to a wonderful cat. May she romp forever among the stars!

Dear Jane,
I have not yet introduced myself but
have joined and been receiving Flippys
Cat Group messages for approx. a month
due to recent losses and a potential loss
of my own. I have been reading the updates
on Ladie*s condition and am sorrowed to
read that this beautiful cat has crossed
the Rainbow Bridge. I have seen the photos
you have taken of her with so much love.
She was so strong during this time, and
I truly believed that she would overcome
her illness with all our prayers and
holding space with Spirit, yet this was
not to be. Throughout your e-mails,
you have shown that you did everything
possible. For reasons unknown to we mere
mortals, she was called home to Spirit. I
am joyful that her suffering is over
however much I wish it had been in this
life and not the next - she has crossed
to a place where she is whole and healthy
again and waiting for you. My thoughts
and prayers are with you to give you the
strength to bear your loss and live with the
understanding that you did your best and
will be reunited with this beloved
companion.Â

Jane,
Much thanks for your thoughtful message
regarding Ladie. One of the great mysteries
of life is its conclusion. We can neither
accept or understand the mystery - we can
only live with its consequences. For me,
I love my dogs, all of them. They are so
much fun for me - each puppy has its own
personality. One quiet, one thoughtful, and
one big mouth. All are a blessing. Â So I
fully understand the loss of Ladie - they
become part of the fabric of our life.
Losing a part of the family is always
difficult. I like what Alfred Lord Tennyson
wrote in his poem "Crossing the Bar." Â The
poem opens with: "Sunset and evening star,
and one clear call for me! And may there be
no moaning of the bar, when I put out to sea."
He expained his poem by saying: "The Pilot
has been on board [my ship] all the while,
but in the dark I have not seen him¦ He is
that Divine and Unseen who is always
guiding us."
Thanks for sharing this moment with me. I
hope to see you and Georgette this Summer.

Bob Dorr - Waterbury, CT

Ladie a dear, cherished, friend lives on in
the beautiful memories of the heart and rests
peacefully as a wonderous part of the universe.
