The thing was: Mitt got all the attention. The credit, praise, and
smut all went to Mitt.

He brought the odd couples together. They laughed, cried and… well
*had fun* until they couldn't walk for weeks. First: Buffy and Red.
Then Spike and Xan-pet. Lastly: Andrew and Ripper.

One day they would see. It was always him that brought them together.

For now he would remain hidden in the laundry hamper.
