Chapter 5
"Ryu! Shinya here...quick get down here..."
"To where?"
"Save the questions!! I'm just outside your house...hayaku there's no time to lose..."
"Okay...I'm coming down right now."
Ryu rush downs with heart thumping so heart, its give him a headache. He wonder what could cause the normally calm and cool Shinya to spilt...but whatever it is...Ryu knows it nothing but bad news.
"What wrong Shinya?"
"Sugi is in hospital"
"Nan de!"
"I said Sugi is in hospital!!"
"Doshite...is he sick or what?"
"I don't know...Ino was the one that called me and you know how he talks when he is frighten. The one words I could make out was 'Sugi' and 'hospital' that's all..."
Ryu sank deep into the seat of the car. It's not good he thought...it not good at all. And all of a sudden, the dream he had the other night came alive in his mind.
"Do you still love me..."
Those words ring painfully in his head and the vision of a blooded Sugi with the knife sent shiver up Ryu's spine. Taking off, the car blazed the road with high speed and later with the same speed, Ryu and Shinya blazed the staircase to the 5th floor.
Ryu pushed the huge hospital door open, his heart kept pounding vigorously and his mind spun out of control at the thought of his beloved's sight.
"Oh my God!!"
That was the only thing Ryu managed to gap before he passes out cold like Sugi.
His dream did come true, only it seems so much worse in reality. Sugi was pale like a sheet of paper...with blood and drip on each hand. The bandages on both wrist and ankles were still soak blood red from the deep knife cut. They thought Sugi would never play again but the doctor assures that he can provided he rest well.
"What happen Ryu-chan <Ino shaking Ryu vigorously on the shoulders> Actually what happens!"
"Stop it Ino...leave them alone!" J took the crying Ino out of the room and for the first time in his life J felt like crying too.
He was too shocked at the slight of his friend, but he couldn't afford to break down...he had to be strong...he had to for Ino's sake. Shinya too left the room, leaving 2 mentally drain people in the cold hospital room...
"Why did you did that...why are you so dumb"
"Because I love you..."
"Do you think that this will make me happy?"
"But...I thought you have left me for sure..."
"I was afraid that if the world would found out, we would lose everything and...I not sure if you are willing to give all up?"
"Why...from the day I met you...I have decided that even if it means my life...I would give up all to have you..."
Tears brims in Ryu's eyes...
2 years later...
"Luna quick come to bed...or else I'm not going to sing you any lullaby..."
"Hai...Uncle Ryu..."
Slowly the little 4 years old gal climbed out from her daddy's lap and into the arms of her other daddy.
"I want to heat Mary had a little lamp tonight..."
"Anything for my little princess..."
