This letter opener has since been carved to a more knife like sharpness on one edge and the area near the handle has been cleaned up. I went looking for it in my Victorian scene and it wasn't with the vanity set. I just flipped. Where is it, looking under lace edged occasional tables and then I remembered... I was setting the work table with tea and sweets, and I put the letter opener on the plate in lieu of flat ware, which I don't have.
