Mandy Helmer
Hi, and welcome to my site. I have a lot of good
materials showing my education at Central Michigan
University and my best teaching. I earned my
Bachelor of Science in Education in December 2007,
graduating with a 3.8 G.P.A. I am able to teach
elementary education, special education (EI K-12)
and early childhood education.  My endorsements are SE, ZA, and ZG.

Since my major was special education (Teachers of the Emotionally Impaired)  and my minor was child development, I was able to student teach in three different settings. Each experience was wonderful and showed me what good teaching looks like. I spent 16 weeks in a resource room at Central Montcalm Upper Elementary (CMUE) in Stanton, MI. The second and third experiences were both in Mount Pleasant, MI. I spent six weeks in first grade at Pullen Elementary and six weeks in kindergarten at Renaissance Public School Academy (a charter school). Please click to learn more about each placement.

I have worked hard to get where I am now and I'm proud of what is on this site. I'm also proud to say that I meet the Entry Level Standards for Michigan Teachers. Please click on each standard to see evidence of my work.
