| Hwy 49 was an important highway that linked Picton with Hwy 401, thus providing Picton with an important link with Kingston and points east. The highway ran from Hwy 401 interchange #566 south to Hwy 33 in Picton. Despite its importance, most of Hwy 49 was downloaded in 1998, and today only exists as a provincially maintained roadway on the Tyendinaga Indian Reserve. |
