Emerson will be leading a group to several archeological museums  (go to "Culture")  in the city.
Nefret and Lia will be pleased to accompany you to several sites where you can explore the history of the area. At one, you can explore medieval Southampton.
Closet monarchists can explore history at the Royalty Web site.
Another site explores the history of the monarchs.
Katharine will lead a group interested in geneological research to look at Church records kept in the library archives.
The Public Records Office will also provide interesting information and links.
Amelia will accompany a group touring  the charming city of Southampton.  Amelia will then lead her charges, flourishing her brolly against the inclement day, to several nearby gardens.
Exbury Gardens has 200 acres of rhododendrons, azaleas and rock gardens.
Furzey Gardens will be another lovely place from the 1920s on.
Amelia also enjoys  Spinners Garden in Lymington.
Cyrus will lead a group interested in Maritime History and exploration.   He is quite intrigued by a double tide that allowed Southampton to become a major seaport.  Its history as a seaport dates back to medieval times. The Maritime Musuem, at Town Quay, has a  stone column commemorating the voyage of the Mayflower.
Visit here if you are intrigued with the Titanic which will sail from Southampton next year.
Sethos, if he shows up, may be found at  Hurst Castle which was built by Henry VIII.
