To save on download volume, the pictures are in two sizes:

• Preview quality: low file size and fast to load, to let you check quickly if you want to look at the bigger pictures at all, these are lower quality images.
• View quality: medium file size, and shrunk to fit a typical 800 by 600 computer screen, these images load acceptably fast and are pretty good quality. Most people will want to see this quality of image.

The pictures are divided up by the parks where we hiked:

• Death Valley National Park
• Lassen Volcanic National Park
• Yosemite National Park
• Mount Whitney
