Dear Father Christmas,

God, I can't believe I'm doing this. But then I can't believe a lot of things about my life lately.

I'm afraid. I'm afraid of Ethan, of the things we're doing. I'm afraid we are all going to die some night because the things we play with will become angry with us.

I want to go home. Please, let me go home. Let me climb into the sleigh with you and you can drop me off at my father's door and I'll beg him to take me back.

It's cold here, and wet. Damn London winters. Ethan says we will grow stronger and have anything we want, but I believe in you more than I believe in that. And if we do, what will it cost us?
