TERENCE CORRIGAN! For excellence in midshipmanry, rentboyishness, footballing, and looking painfully hot all the while. |
Am I really that transparent? We all know that I've been dying to give my Terence an award for years. After all, I like to consider myself his #3 fan (after the all-powerful Stella and Foxy, of course)! Anyway, aside from the fact that his chocolate brown eyes can melt the Ice Age, this boy has talent to boot. I'll admit, I still have yet to see him in Wild About Harry or Silent Witness, but I've seen him in everything else, which, for an American, is not at all shabby. And I can tell you that in everything he does, you can tell that he's giving the character 100%, even when it's only for a minute or a line. Like I said, this boy's got talent. His biggest and most note-worthy role to date is that of Midshipman Wellard in Horatio Hornblower: Mutiny and Retribution. He pulled off the role of Wellard with tremendous grace. The part was challenging both emotionally and physically. He had to climb up and down ropes, run about the ship, and beat back Spaniards, all while inhabiting a persona that had an incredible depth for a secondary character. I could get really in-depth with the Wellard love, but that would get boring quickly, so I'll end by saying that Henry Wellard is the perfect person to be the namesake for this award. He was a character that I immediately attached to, but nobody else seems to have noticed. Terence Corrigan, I salute you! Back to Wellies Home |
