The Harmonia Sacra, at first titled Genuine Church Music, began publication in 1832, and exists today in its 25th edition, as an edited facsimile under the direction of James Nelson Gingerich.. Copies of it are actually easier to obtain than of either current edition of The Sacred Harp--published by a commercial press, available online and as a special order through any of the major chain booksellers.
