Before there was a trend in modifying compact Japanese cars, Nissan was making compact performance cars from the factory. It all started in the '70s with the 240Z. Never before had a Japanese manufacturer put together such a combination of gracefully flowing bodylines, a lightweight chassis and a powerful engine. Over the years, many Nissan badged sport compacts were inspired by the Z line, including the 240SX, various SE-R cars, as well full fledged sports cars, such as the 300ZX and today's 350Z. All of these cars provide plenty of driving enjoyment and are each in their own way a wonderful platform for sport compact enthusiasts to start from. | ||||||||||||||||||||
