Thoughts of Faith-Czech Republic

Thoughts of Faith, Inc. is an orthodox Lutheran mission society based in Oregon, Wisconsin.  It has been working to spread the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the countries of Eastern Europe since 1979.  Thoughts of Faith is a church related organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod and is in fellowship with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  For more information about Thoughts of Faith visit its website at www.tof.org.

Thoughts of Faith sent its first missionary to Czechoslovakia in 1990.  In 1991, the first congregation was established in Plzen, an industrial city in Western Bohemia.  Martin Luther School opened its doors in 1992.  In 1993 the Czech Republic and Slovakia dissolved its union, becoming two separate countries.  The beginning of the 21st century has seen the establishment of two new congregations and the formation of the Czech Evangelical Lutheran Church.  We pray that God will continue to bless the proclamation of His Word in the Czech Republic to the salvation of many souls.
