Me and Oren on Grad Day
My high school years were fun!!!! Went to Wilcox High School for my Freshman year but then transferred to Santa Clara High my Sophmore year because Stephanie went there plus my bf (first one) went there also.
My Sophmore year, I hung out with the "flip" crowd. All we went to were house and hall parties and my guy friends were known as "8-Ball Crew". Dance groups were in at this time and our school was known for the 8 Ball guys. I still keep in touch with some of them today although I only see them when it's one of my high school friend's b-day or something. My other friends that I hung out with were Janice, Ly, and Vivian. We had our little dance group as well called "Different Concept". LOL...came up with that name because Janice had a tattoo already on her hand "DC" which was her Ex's initials. We wanted to make use of the initial since they were no longer together so decided to use those initials for our group's name. We won first place at a talent show at some school in San Jose (beat out a bunch of guys!!!). We also performed at a Fashion Show at Wilcox High. Funnnnny days!!!
My Junior year was spent kicking it with our "big bro" Thai. He use to take me, Jenny, and LIen to those high school Vietnamese fashion shows. Along the way...his guy friends got annoyed of us cuz they said we were tag-alongs. :-) This was also the year (1992) that Stephanie and MIke got together. Mike was a little nobody nerd that Steph rescued. Because of my best friend Stephanie....Mike wouldn't be the somewhat cool person he is today. We all worked at Bullwinkles together (all of us girls, Mike, and lots others from our High School) and Mike was the only one who had a car so we USED Mike all the time for his car. Use to go to Bullwinkles when he was working and offered to buy gas for his car is he let us use it (while he's working). Being the little nobody that Stephanie rescued, he wanted to fit in with everyone so of course.....he always let us :-) Junior year...didn't got to my X-mas formal but I went to my Junior prom with a guy name Daniel Bui. My friend Nyree introduced me to him but he lived in San Jose while I lived here and both of us had no car so eventually the interest went away.
My Senior Year....!!!!! Got my car a month into my senior year so we use to cut school all the time to go to the beach. All of us had bf's that we all friends so it was cool. Steph was with Mike, Lien was with Quoc, Jenny was with Tony (Nhiepo), and I was with Jesse. We even all (8 of us) went to go take group studio pictures together!!! Went to my x-mas formal with my bf at the time Jesse but didn't go to the Prom cuz me and Jesse weren't together anymore. Grad night was ok...can't remember much. It was held at our schooll...think they had a casino there, video games, music....etc.
Overall my high school experience was cool. It was then that me, Jenny, Stephanie, and Lien became life long buddies!!!!! Can't imagine my life with out them being a part of it.... (oh...yeah..u too Mike) ;-)
