Back in '02, or maybe it was '01. Actually it was probably '01 and '06 was actually my 5th year. Anyway, back in the day, I had one geocities account: bojanglesoncrack. Back then, all they offered was 15 MB of disk space and a 4.2 MB hourly data transfer limit. Actually, that's still all they offer today...you know, these days, a fucking tera drive is becoming pretty commonplace, you think they might throw us a friggin' bone or two for once. That reminds me. You know wot I had to use to transfer some of my BitLord downloads with because my iPod is no longer universally formatted? That's right, CD-Rs. Who the hell uses CD-Rs anymore? They're about as useless as the floppy disk these days. It was disgusting. I had to use like three of them and it took nearly 15 minutes. But I digress, back in the day, it was a much simpler time. All I needed was one account. And all I used was the Yahoo! PageBuilder.
Well, the days went by, my site grew, and I realized that geocities sucks. So I got another account: limozeen_awexome. It came with the same shitty features, but this time, because I had two of them, combindedly is not a word they were awesome enough to warrant the use of an "x" instead of an essss in the word "awesome."
jajaja! I just saw a TV ad for a Big & Tall catalogue called "King Size." I wonder if they make one called "Queen Size" for your dad?
Eventually I got to the point where I thought bojanglesoncrack was a rather stupid and immature screen name. So, naturally, I had to think of another that I would be even more embarassed about 3 months after making: mmm_saturated_fat. This screen name was the turning point in the life of my website. With this screen name, I strayed away from my pagebuilder ways. I started to experiment with the black magic of web language outside of font color html tags. jaja wot does that mean?
All I ever really needed was one account. Other than text, most of everything is hosted offsite*cough*hotlinked*cough* (jaja wouldn't it be really funny if the owner of dtn-productions.com traced that weird yellow brick road to success gif to my site and was reading this right now?). So I wanted to consolidate my three accounts for organization and management reasons. Plus some of the old pages were just a pain to keep refurbished when they were all in PageBuilder. |
