01.03.07        Natalie Portman! Natalie Portman! Gwen Stefani!

Welcome all to the two kay seven. Last year saw a whopping total of 4 Mr. BoJangles' Fuzzy Realm posts!* WOWIEZOWIE! This year, let's make it three!

2007 marks my 5th year as the webmaster of a geocities webpage. Usually these sort of things require some cheesy video montage, but I can't be arsed. However, I would like to take a lil' stroll down the realm's memory lane. I've got time, do you?

I dunno wot this has to do with memories. Distant memories of success?

Back in '02, or maybe it was '01. Actually it was probably '01 and '06 was actually my 5th year. Anyway, back in the day, I had one geocities account: bojanglesoncrack. Back then, all they offered was 15 MB of disk space and a 4.2 MB hourly data transfer limit. Actually, that's still all they offer today...you know, these days, a fucking tera drive is becoming pretty commonplace, you think they might throw us a friggin' bone or two for once. That reminds me. You know wot I had to use to transfer some of my BitLord downloads with because my iPod is no longer universally formatted? That's right, CD-Rs. Who the hell uses CD-Rs anymore? They're about as useless as the floppy disk these days. It was disgusting. I had to use like three of them and it took nearly 15 minutes. But I digress, back in the day, it was a much simpler time. All I needed was one account. And all I used was the Yahoo! PageBuilder.

Well, the days went by, my site grew, and I realized that geocities sucks. So I got another account: limozeen_awexome. It came with the same shitty features, but this time, because I had two of them, combindedly is not a word they were awesome enough to warrant the use of an "x" instead of an essss in the word "awesome."

jajaja! I just saw a TV ad for a Big & Tall catalogue called "King Size." I wonder if they make one called "Queen Size" for your dad?

Eventually I got to the point where I thought bojanglesoncrack was a rather stupid and immature screen name. So, naturally, I had to think of another that I would be even more embarassed about 3 months after making: mmm_saturated_fat. This screen name was the turning point in the life of my website. With this screen name, I strayed away from my pagebuilder ways. I started to experiment with the black magic of web language outside of font color html tags. jaja wot does that mean?

All I ever really needed was one account. Other than text, most of everything is hosted offsite*cough*hotlinked*cough* (jaja wouldn't it be really funny if the owner of dtn-productions.com traced that weird yellow brick road to success gif to my site and was reading this right now?). So I wanted to consolidate my three accounts for organization and management reasons. Plus some of the old pages were just a pain to keep refurbished when they were all in PageBuilder.

Now that you know that, in this update, I have transferred everything to mmm_saturated_fat. The older archives are a little more user friendly when it comes to navigation now. If they look the same, refresh the page a few times. If it still looks the same, then it's because I lied to you. I didn't actually update anything. Czech back in 2008 and it might be fixed. I mean, I planned on 07erating everything, but it's 3:3fucking3am. My night actually started with me converting a bunch of wmv files of live sets/music videos to mp4 for my iPod. And then I remembered the entire Motörhead discography sitting in my BitLord downloads folder --which I might as well rename "Limbo"-- along with a bunch of hip '06 releases recommended by the last.fm kids that I've yet to listen to. And then I remembered it was 2007. So I came here and I got a little carried away. And although my beddy-bye time is usually well past 6am, the sugar and caffeine is already wearing off. So for the sake of my rapidly decaying website, hopefully I'll soon get my hands on some high-sucrose sustenance.

Finally, to what was supposed to be the substance of this post:

2006 BEST OF'S!!!

NO, you don't get to vote. This is all crap that I like. There are two categories: 2006 Best Of's, and 2006 Best Of's That Weren't Really 2006 Best Of's. Meaning, things I thought were 2006 Best Of's, only to find out that they actually happened in 2005, or worse! 2004. Under each category, there are 4 subcategories: best songs, best records, best movies, and...best...thing. I'll also throw some 2006 Worst Of's in there as a bonus.

We'll start with the

2006 BEST OF'S
THAT WEREN'T REALLY
2006 BEST OF'S!!!

since those are usually wot actually made your 2006, and the real 2006 Best Of's are wot you held in 2nd place until some bastard came along and told you that that shit really came out in 2005...or worse! 2004.

These will not be presented in the classic numbered format, since everything in this category is just what I've had to cut out of my 2006 Best Of's list. And quit clicking on those, they're not even real links.

Musics
BALKAN BEAT BOX
BALKAN BEAT BOX

I found this in I think mid-December of 2006. And it was a pleasant surprise. I completely forgot how I stumbled upon it, but I know it had something to do with last.fm and Gogol Bordello. You can hear the album at balkanbeatbox.com. My favorite track is "Sunday Arak" by far. The horn in it is too hawt.

but it might actually be a trombone with a really really nice tone. Obviously muted.

MADONNA
CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR

Oh no! How did she get on my list? Oh yeah, this album is awexome.

The best songs, once you get over the first single are "Sorry," "Forbidden Love," and "Isaac."

Madonna should really be dead by now, but this album makes her seem feel like she's 20.

Well, that's it. I actually expected there to be more, but upon further research, I've discovered that some things I thought really came out in 2006 actually did come out in 2006 and that bastard was lying. So now it's time for...

2006 BEST OF'S THIS TIME FOR REALZIES!!!

Yeah, you can click on it this time.

*Yes, I just put that link there so you could see
the elephant on the skateboard. HEY LOOK!
