| The Mini Mountain Miniature Horse Club was formed in 2003. The club was originally started because of the local interest in the miniature horse. It became very apparent that there were a lot of newcomers in the area that had no idea on the differences in the numerous miniature horse registries or difference involved with caring for a miniature horse vs the large cousin.
So the club was formed by 16 local breeders to try to help promote the breed and inform people on them prior to making a purchase. The club has bi-monthly to quarterly meeting where we discuss activities in the area to promote the miniature horse and it abilities. The club also tries to have an educational demonstration or lecture on different aspects of the miniature horse. On any topic from breeding, showing, grooming and handling.The club also has pleasure driving and picnics for the members and their family. Each fall the club usually had a LARGE Cookout with a horse related auction with LOTS of miniature horse items that is donated to the club and all proceeds go to the club. The club is open to miniatures of any registry AMHA, AMHR, WCMHR, Gold Seal and even unregistered miniatures.So if you have a miniature or an interest in owning one contact us. Membership is very reasonable at $15 for a farm membership. |
