Urban Cruise Control

I write my US Senators all the time, and they're good about listening. Sometimes, something I sounded off about even finds its way into a policy initiative implemented by the White House (now that there are a few adults running it, for a change).

Recently, I sounded off to the Federal Highway Administration, telling them how I think they should start an "initiative" to build an "urban cruise-control":

Set up transmitters on traffic signal lights that tell the car's cruise control how to time its cruise through synchronized traffic lights.

I'd like to see this feature on new cars in the next few years.

Want me to build it?
