Ragnarok is an anime mmorpg, the name Ragnarok has a meaning. Here is the explanation in short; in Norse mythology, the end of the world was foretold as the final war between the gods, and its name was Ragnarok. There is not much of a story in Ragnarok game, it's only told that there was a war between humans and monsters, and that's about it, here's the story ends. The graphics of the game in general are nice, the enviremental graphic detailes are well done, each weapon, dagger, bow and two-handed swords are unique for each class and gender. One of the poor aspects of the game is that there are many monsters that look alike, fore example very often higher level monsters look just like the lower level ones, the only difference is between them is the color or the size of it. Another thing I didn't really like were the apperiance of the characters themselves. When you look at the character you can't really see all the detailes of the armor you are wearing, in fact almost all of the clothes people wearing (at least on the low levels) are the same color. Spells are looking pretty nice, each spell has its own look. The sound in game is really nice, whenever you enter a new city you hear a different music, each spell has its own sound, the annoying part is that no matter which tipe of weapon (knife/sword/axe) you are using you will hear the same sound. There are two types of levels in RO, character levels, and Job levels. When you gain a character level, you get to adjust your stats more. After a job level, you get to pick skills associated with your job. Some of the main jobs are the Thief, who hits fast and dodges well, and the Acolyte (the token healers). Merchant, my personal favorite, is a class that can buy things at discounts, and create their own player-run shops, and use quirky combat skills to boot. Everyone starts out as a Novice, a starter class with no skills whatsoever, unless you count the ability to sit as a skill. After reaching novice level 11, you can pick a real job. Full list of different characters can be found here. If you are not sure who you want to become, you can get help here, by answering on a short quiz which will help you to decide which type of characer will be best for you to play with, according to your answers.
