I have taken the Supply chain challenge because it gives me the opportunity to fight at the uncertainty in our everyday activities and processes. As much as the human nature is stochastic,.. so is every activity we are involved in. Supply chain as a tool gives us the ability to map our specific patterns to predict a better way to do our work in any supply chain management activities. The supply chain has wide ranging applications in manufacturing, logistics, marketing, engineering in every industry we could think of. Supply chain as a optimization tool coupled with the e-connectivity can be used to increase profits and cut down on the expenditure due to real time decision making.
In the process of implementing smart Supply Chains it is predicted that companies will make billions of dollars in savings. But unfortunately the supply chain and the power the tools of supply chain offers to us is not understood except in the research communities.
