Simulation is a tool to explore the problem area and develop solutions, which can form the basis for decision making. Simulated solutions are convenient and cost effective for supply chain optimization.
Three-phase methodology can be used as a framework to simulate the supply chain network. This methodology has an activity as a basic building block. The building block has two events to describe the activity: the start of the activity and the end of the activity event.
