1999 (restored) Full Screen (4:3) Version Dual audio - Stereo AC3 (track 1) & 5.1 surround AC3 (track 2) PAL DVD Yellow Cow Records - YCDVD100 Running time: 86mins 2secs (main feature), 126mins (total) The 1999 restored VHS release of Yellow Submarine differed from the official DVD release in that the DVD has a picture cropped from 4:3 to 16:9. This basically means that 20% of the picture is missing. 10% from the top and 10% from the bottom. The VHS utilised an uncropped, fullscreen 4:3 picture but, obviously, only had the stereo soundtrack. This Yellow DVD release uses the fullscreen picture from the VHS and the two main audio tracks from the DVD: 5.1 surround and stereo. The stereo version is the default audio and the 5.1 is available on audio track 2.
