You are probably wondering who I am. After all this is supposed to be where I introduce myself right? Ok, here I go.........
My name is Emma Grace and I am a 4 month old preemie. Did I shock you? I hope not. My mommy and I were trying to find a way to let people know I was here and to see a few pictures. So let's see.... I could start out with what I weighed at birth and such or I could continue rambling on as us babies sometimes do. Best if I keep to the highlights eh?
Alrighty then. I was born on July 23rd of this year. (That's 2003 for those of you who haven't noticed) at 5:10pm. I weighed 4 lbs 10 ozs and was 17.5 in long. Mommy said it didn't matter what size I was it really hurt at the time. Sorry mommy. Anyway, I was born 7 weeks early. Mommy was not prepared for me either. From what I heard she had only had 2 classes in her childbirth regimine.
So, there I was snug and warm in my little cubby hole when all of a sudden a big whooshy kinda noise awoke me. There was alot of panic in my mommy's voice as she woke daddy at 5am on monday 7/21/03. I remember her saying they had to call the doctor because her water broke. Sure enough it had. We rushed over to Kingston hospital where they gave mommy medicine to make my lungs stronger in a shorter amount of time. And then they gave her something to stop her labor. I guess they wanted me to wait a little longer. So I gave them two more days. We even had a fun ambulance ride to Westchester Medical Center because Kingston was not equipped to handle my kind of birth. Mommy was a little scared and it made me scared too.
