Banaszak's goal mid-way through the first half gives Monacan a 1-1 tie at halftime, and Zamborsky's second-half goal a minute after a Midlo score leaves the game tied at the end of regulation. Two teams battle to a scoreless 15-minute overtime period. Bradt's score about seven minutes into the second OT proves the winner.
Monacan, Midlothian and Manchester all had finished regular season with 2-8 records, tied for the fourth (and final) spot in the district tournament. Manchester, winning the coin flip, got to sit out while Monacan and Midlo played first playoff game.
