The Monacettes are the Monacan High School Dance
Team that performs at football and basketball games
and other events as well as participating in a dance
competition each year.

| Monacattes take 3rd at Lancer Invitational
Sat., Nov. 13--Monacan's dance team placed third in the Pom Division of the Lancer Dancer Invitational at Manchester High School. |

Monacan dancers earn Superior rating;
Marr, Millham, Riley named All-Stars
Aug. 4-7, 2004--The Monacettes Dance Team participated in a UDA Dance Camp at the University of Virginia. The team was awarded a Superior rating trophy at the camp. Three dancers, Johanna Marr, Lauren Millham, and Sarah Riley, were selected All-Stars at the camp.

Monacettes
The Monacettes are the Monacan High School Dance
Team that performs at football and basketball games
and other events as well as participating in a dance
competition each year. The team stands sideline
during the games to dance to the band and support the
team. They also perform at halftime of home games
where they specialize in jazz, pom and hip-hop.
This year at UDA dance camp at UVA the dance team
again did exceptionally well. Along with 35 Superior
individual evaluation ribbons and 44 drill down
ribbons, the team received a Superior Team trophy, a
Spirit Stick Award, and Superior Home Routine Ribbon.
The Monacettes also qualified to compete at the UDA
National Competition in Orlando, Florida as well as
the Citrus Bowl. Johanna Marr was also named to the
All-Star Dance Team. The Monacettes are excited about
beginning a new year to dance and support Monacan High
School and all of its programs.

Monacettes honored
The Monacettes dance team, which performs at football games and other sporting events, received 32 superior ribbons and a bid to the Universal Dancers Association national championships at the 2002 UDA Camp at the University of Virginia camp during the summer of 2002. Monacan also won the Most Spirited Team Award. Cindy Thomasson was named to the Universal Dance Association All-Star Dance team.
The Monacettes also participated in the Manchester High School 6th Annual Dance Team Invitational Competition on Saturday, November 9. The team placed second in the Pom competition.

Three Monacettes honored
Chiefs squad earns bid to National Championships
The Monacettes dance team, which performs at football games and other sporting events, received superior ratings and a bid to the national championships at camp this summer.
Three girls -- Brittany Corbett, Ashley Holdren and Ashley Millham -- made the Universal Dance Association All-Star Dance team.
