| TACTICS • Increase the number of long-term resident volunteers by a certain percentage of the total number of tutors. Tactics: -Going into the school districts to talk to high school students about Theatre 7 and the shows that they are doing. -Talking with Millikin Theater Majors about participating in shows and special Theatre 7 events. -Having people get their Service Learning hours helping out in the Theatre 7 costume shop and/or building sets for upcoming shows. • Have the community more involved, and have the community more informed on Theater 7 events. (In order to increase the number of long-term resident volunteers) Tactics: -Before a show, have a troupe go to a local school and give a preview for the school. -Have a children’s show to involve parents in the Theatre 7 activities. -Do some sort of community service, like gift wrapping around Christmas to both raise money and let the community know what they are supportive in the arts. • Having multiple ways in keeping the community and long-term residents interested in events carried out by Theater 7. Tactics: -Keeping the website updated. Updating weekly on current projects, instead of whenever a show is starting. -Asking for opinions of the community and the Decatur Arts Council on shows. -Having luncheons with people of stature in the community about current Theatre 7 projects. • Finding different ways in how Theater 7 can promote themselves. Tactics: -Advertise on television. -Advertise on the radio, especially the Millikin radio station. -Offer online payment for show tickets. -Link State Theatre websites to the Theatre 7 website. • To help increase the ticket sales for THEATER 7 shows. Tactics: -Promote the website by adding it to State Theatre websites. -Add a link on the website where you can pay for the tickets online. -Advertise more in newspapers, radio stations, and on television. |
