This had to be my first ever attempt at taking apart a AEG and putting in some aftermarket parts. All I have to say is DAMN haha...I really didn't really know what I was doing. It took me the whole night just to get the gun working good again. At first the gear shimming was off which caused some problems. After I got it all good the gun still didn't work. After a long time of searching I found that my gear timing was off. And BINGO! gun shot perfectly fine after that.
Check Motor Height
I highly suggest that everyone check their motor height and make sure its adjusted right. In my situation I thought my gearbox was just loud due to it having a CA motor or also because of the metal body. I soon found that to be wrong...very wrong. What really was the problem was the motor height. I found that only about 3mm of the motor pinion was even touching the gear in the mechbox. After looking at the mechbox gear I found it to be wearing down and if I had left everything as it was...it would have been broken. After I adjusted teh motor height correctly the gearbox is amazingly quite!
