POUR ME A MEMORY

Bartender pour me something strong
To wash these memories away
I've been lonely way too long
Now the hurtin's here to stay
I know it's a hopeless cause
Trying to drown my sorrow
But pain just breaks the laws
I don't want to face tomorrow
Fill my glass up to the rim
Mix me a drink with no name
Make me forget about him
You'll get the fortune and fame
Call it Memories, this drink of mine
Make it burn all the way down
Nothing fancy, no champagne or wine
Just something to chase away the frown
Someday the pain will go
I'll find a way to move on
Until then I'll be drinking slow
Wishing he wasn't gone
