THE WANDERER
As I journey through this life
I move around place to place
I see other’s trials and their strife
I feel tears run down my face
It seems I must keep moving
Looking for what can’t be found
I wish I could laugh, pray, sing
But my tears fall to the ground
I have no home here on earth
I’m just visiting till it’s time
To leave sadness for mirth
On Jacob’s ladder I’ll climb
My home is to be found above
Here I am wandering still
Until my Father calls in love
And my soul shows its thrill
So until that day comes
I’ll feel out of place
Hotel rooms instead of homes
Until I can look upon His Face
