June 2002 (1 Year)
6/5/02 - 6/9/02
Some Jerk tried to steal my car Wednesday, but thanks to a
Kill Switch all they did was wreck my interior and bust up my passenger door.
So the steering column from from the firebird went in.  I had to make a steel plate for the fire wall to mount it correctly.  Other than that it was a simple bolt in. There's no binding, everything is straight solid, and it looks great.
I also have to build that custom console now.  I started by making templates for the side panels with cardboard.  Transfered the layout to some 1/4" ply wood and ta-da almost have a console.  I used angle brackets and spome flat steel to make up supports and brackets for all the goodies.  I plan to wrap the entire thing with dacron and leather soon.
Now for the door...I have some issues with this still, and I'm waiting for some advice.
