Montoya Universe

Welcome to the new Montoya Universe, the official website of Tri-Polar's frontman and bassist Craig Montoya. Does the name sound familiar? You better believe it! Craig was part of the rock group Everclear for ten years until 2003.

But this does NOT mean you'll find information about Everclear! Montoya Universe (or MU) is all about Craig and his current projects Tri-Polar and The Strain, two local bands from Portland, OR. This site is frequently updated (for those who disagree, I have been busy with the start of college and the site's renovation), and it is also frequently visited by Craig Montoya himself (Craig, drop a line if you like this new look)!

WHOA! I haven't updated this site in a LONG time! I apologize for it. It is not that I have steered away from a great bass player and his music, but I do have a life outside the internet and it is a busy one! I cannot even keep up with Craig's projects, but I do know this: 1. Craig has left The Strain and is working with Castella and 2. Tri-Polar is still together, but when Brian went through surgery last year, the band had to be put on hold for a while. Now they are doing some shows here and there, including one for St. Patty's Day! I will try and update this site before the summer (and of course, that will be busy with my summer job and... well, we will see what happens).
