RUTH ELLIS

THE DEATH OF MY WEE DARLING FROM CANCER

AND ALL THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PAIN SHE HAD TO ENDURE

My darling Ruth was a tremendous, kind, caring wee soul with a heart of gold.  She was so loveable and had a great gift when it came to other people. Everyone loved her friendly, smiley face and her incredibly beautiful green eyes with those long, long eyelashes.  They loved her wit, the sound of her laughter, her kindness, generosity, humanity, friendship and love.  She gave so much to so many people, over so many years, and there are lots of people who are extremely grateful to her for all the unwavering support and love she gave them when they were going through really bad times.

When we returned from England to N Ireland at the beginning of June 2002, it was to be the start of a whole new life and Ruth was really looking forward to being near her children Mandy and David again, as well as all the rest of her family and friends.  She had so many wee hopes and dreams, but these were all shattered when something happened one evening on Friday 4th October 2002, which marked the start of an awfully sad, cruel and harrowing journey that eventually ended around 10.25 pm on Friday 16th May 2003.
