The Agony of Defeat!!!

Hyang Suk was stunned with her defeat. She had even strategized that by moving as little as possible, her side of the wishbone would break biggest. She was wrong and she paid the ultimate price for her mistake.

Here she bemoans her loss, as a jovial Joo Mi and Michael celebrate in the background. Michael looks like he just won an olympic event or something and Joo Mi is just gloating. You can see how emotional and serious this competition was.

After the contest, everyone settled down for some Earl Grey Tea and desert. In addition to the apple pie, Joo Mi and Michael brought a delicious black cherry cake chockful of dark sweet cherries. As everyone made conversation, the always photo-ready Joo Mi wanted to take pictures with the christmas tree that Mia had set up and decorated.

The photogenic Joo Mi proved once again that she is the undisputed champion of posing for the camera.

Joo Mi turned off the lights and started a wave of everyone wanting to take a picture with the christmas tree.
Michael and Joo Mi took like a gazillion pictures from every possible angle on their digital camera. Michael always makes sure that he is behind Joo Mi so that  people don't notice the difference in the size of their heads.

After Michael and Joo Mi, were done, everyone else took pictures with the tree.

Here Mia and Hyang Suk pose in the glitter of christmas lights and candles.

Finally Montgomery and Mia get a chance to take a picture. Mia surprised Montgomery and all the guests, by boldly giving him an early Christmas present. Montgomery was very happy and was a little shocked by her passion and lack of embarassment.

Montgomery thought about it, and was sure of one thing: From that night on, Wine should be served with all their meals.
Michael was very put off by Mia and Montgomery's natural affinity for each other. He quickly proposed that he and Joo Mi do the same thing. Joo Mi wanted no part of his foolish request. Michael begged and pleaded but the strong willed Joo Mi refused.

Michael grabbed Joo Mi's hand so that she could not run away and ordered that Montgomery take his picture.

By now Montgomery realized that maybe, wine was not such a good thing. The guests were all ready to leave, and they all left with leftovers that Montgomery wrapped up for them.
Everyone had left.

There was a lot of cleanup to do and a lot of food to put away.

But the the phone rang, one more guest said she was on her way.

It was Jenny. She had been on a week-end business trip but she came down straight from the trip.
In the end a fun time was had by all.

The koreans had learned many new traditions and tasted many new foods.

The Thanksgiving celebration had been a wonderful evening and a time of friendship.

It was a very memorable evening indeed.
