"Bo Bo and Jane Meet Jesus"

A long long time ago, somewhere in a far away land there lived Bo Bo the snake. He was born near the banks of the Nile river. His mother laid her eggs several weeks earlier and left them there to hatch. She wasn't a bad mother for leaving her eggs, you see that's the way snakes do things. Bo Bo didn't mind, he was born knowing what to do. First he hid among the weeds, then when he was big enough he went down to the river to live the rest of his life. It was there that he meet Jane.

Jane's mother had left her eggs to hatch by themselves too, just like Bo Bo 's mother had done. But that was OK,too. Turtles do that sort of thing too. It's natures way of helping them to survive all by them selves.

Bo Bo was laying in the sun drying his skin so that he could shed it and get a new one because he had out grown his old one. When he heard a strange voice. "What are you doing?" Bo Bo turned around and he saw a turtle sitting on a log, and his first impulse was to eat it. But there was a voice in his head that said "Don't you eat this turtle, she is a true friend. And you will need her". So Bo Bo turned to the turtle and said " What do you want"

Jane jumped down from the log and sit right next to him and said "I have something to tell you. Jesus is coming and I want to be there to see him. How about you?"

"Who is Jesus ?" asked Bo Bo."Who is Jesus!" exclaimed Jane. Well Jesus was born a while back , about 33 years ago, and he has some wonderful things to say. my cousin told me about him and I want to go and hear him for myself. How about you? Do you want to go with me?

"What is he saying asked Bo Bo?"

Well he is telling all who will listen, that "Who ever believes in him will have everlasting life, and shall not die. And that all who live on this earth shall go live with him in heaven forever after we die here on earth.

"Is this true asked Bo Bo? I don't know said Jane, but I want to go and find out. Will you go with me? Yes I want to go said Bo Bo, When do we leave?

How about right now? If we leave now we could get there by the time people has their passover time. And we will be able to eat off the ground what they drop on the ground. And Jesus will be there then and we will get to see him there.

As time went by and after along journey the snake and the turtle came to the town where Jesus was to be. They went from one end of town to the other and they couldn't find him. They heard some people talking about him coming but they hadn't seen him yet.

By now it was getting late in the day so they thought that they would find someplace to sleep for the night. The town was very crowed, so they went to the out skirts of town.

As they came to a clearing they could hear some men talking, so they stopped to listen. One man was crying, and another man was just standing there doing nothing. But over by the clearing they could see a man with his hands folded leaning against a rock. Bo Bo couldn't hear what he was saying, but Jane said she could if he would be quiet. She strained with every thing she had but she could not hear him. Suddenly the man looked at her and Bo Bo as if he was going to speak to them. And then he did.

"Is there something that I can do for you two?" asked the man.

Bo Bo and Jane looked around to see if there was someone else there, but there wasn't. Then Jane asked."Are you talking to us?"

But of course I am, there is nobody else here, is there? You must be Bo Bo and you must be Jane. I have been here waiting for you to come to me.

How can this be, said Jane.You are a man you can't understand us can you?

Why not? My Father taught me to understand all living things on earth, are you not on this earth.

What is your name asked Bo Bo?

My name is Jesus.

You are the one we came to see. You are real ! And you can talk to us!

Yes I am and I need your help. You see, my time has come and I must get my message to all the animal world. Can I depend on you to tell all that you see, about me?

Of course you can, said them both.

Good said Jesus, now listen close to what I am to say to you.......

As Jesus told them of what he wanted them to do, there was some men at the camp where they had heard the men talking. And they were looking for Jesus. And they weren't looking to hear what he has to say. They wanted to arrest him.

Just as Jesus finished telling them what he wanted them to do, the men came up and grabbed him by the arm and forced him to the ground, and then they took him away.

Jesus! Jesus ! yelled Jane. Come back, come back to us! Don't let those men do that to you!

Jesus turned to her and said "Don't worry Jane I will see you again" then he was gone.

He's gone cried Jane.

No I don't think so said Bo Bo, I think we will hear from him again, soon.
