I just had to read these books, to know why everyone else loved Harry Potter so much. Now I know. They are wonderful books. The Harry Potter books are suposed to be for children, but I am 18 and I loved them. They are about a boy named Harry Potter, who has lived with his horrible aunt, uncle, and cousin since his parents died in a "car crash" ten years ago. He finds out that he is a wizard and begins his education at Hogwarts School of Witchraft and Wizardry. All sorts of things happen at Hogwarts and he and his friends go on adventures. If you haven't read any of the Harry Potter books yet, please do, they are great books for children as well as adults.

Other Recommended Books and Authors
~ Anne Rice ~ she is my favorite author. All of her books are wonderful, so if you get a chance, read one (or all) of them ~ Edgar Allen Poe ~ Classic horror short stories, beautifully dark and twisted. His poetry is also great, The Raven and Alone being my favorites. ~ Emily Dickenson ~ One of my favorite poets. Simple in style, yet complicated in thought. ~ Wither by J. G. Passarella ~ Horror novel set in a sleepy New England town, with a history of witch trials (not Salem). The witches are resurrected and the reader watches the terror that follows. ~The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde ~ Classic story of a man who sells his soul for eternal youth. ~The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart ~ The first in a series of four books about the famous wizard Merlin, The Crystal Cave tells of his youth in early Britain as he is leaning about himself and his powers. |
