The Eye Of Life's Storm
Canopies of black suspended in sky
Billowing beneath Mother Nature’s sigh.
Skeletal fingers stagger cross earth
To thunder’s cadence of deafening mirth.

Prongs of crackling bones in the night
Bleach ebony shadows brilliant white.
Crystal droplets down the pane parade
As mirrored teardrops on wall cascade.

Anguished turmoil outside still rages;
Secure within, I edit life’s pages.
Cleansed of own fury, I’m finally whole
Hearing only the silence of my soul.
