Addiction
The second chapter, wheee~esh!
Brad felt reality slip away from him as he slid to the floor. As the world was covered by a hazy veil, he watched in a detached sort of way as Schuldich appeared in the bathroom. He moaned, he was dying and he still was getting fucking hallucinations.
"Brad?" It sounded so real, but he was so tired, he let his eyes drift shut, and slumped further against the cool tile.
He woke up in the guest room, his wrists bandaged and his hair wet. Brad sighed, apparently Nagi had come on one of his infrequent visits, and cleaned him up. He squeezed his eyes shut; he had been so sure he had heard Schuldich's voice. His stomach growled, and sighed again, before heaving himself off the bed, wrapping the sheet around his waist and shuffling downstairs.
He stumbled about, collect a mug of coffee and collapsed into a chair. His wrists ached, and apparently he had lost enough blood to feel extremely fatigued, if not die.
He smiled bitterly. He had managed to convince Nagi he was fine for the past three months. What would they think now? The great Oracle driven to suicide, how pathetic. He heard someone walk quietly into the kitchen, but he didn't look up. He couldn't face Nagi right now.
He finally built up his composure, and leaned back, closing his eyes, before breaking the silence.
"I am sorry for you finding me that way. I- I- haven't been the same since Schu left."
He darted a quick glance up, and found himself staring at a very amused Schuldich.
"My my Braddie, I didn't think I had that much of an affect on you..."
He sat looking shocked for several seconds before sprinting upstairs and burrowing deep into his covers. This couldn't be real! His hallucinations had always been realistic, but this one was scarily like Schu. But Schu had left, left him here alone with his addiction and his out of control talent. His eyes were glassy with tears as he pressed his face into his pillow. He felt like screaming when he heard the door open. He chanted silently to himself, it was all in his head, it was all in his head, wasn't it?
"Brad?" He felt a warm hand touch him lightly on the shoulder and he turned over, staring at Schuldich for a second. He curled up in a ball and rocked back and forth and through his tears he managed to choke out.
"But you're gone."
"I'm back now." Schuldich moved behind Brad, hugging him around the waist as he slowly uncurled. He felt Schuldich rest his chin right near his ear. And he turned his face into that familiar flame-colored hair and sobbed.
"Shh, shh, please don't cry Brad, I promise I'll stay forever.I promise.shh."
His only response was a tighter hug.
