| He appeared in the ninth volume of Codename wa: Sailor V, standing on a high rooftop, throwing down "diet candies" to compensate for the previous Dark Kingdom Agent (who had used candies to make everyone gain weight o_O). When Sailor V saw him, it was love (or crush) at first sight... little did she know how much he cared for her in return. Saijou Ace, a young man of about 15 (two years older than Minako-chan), was a really sweet guy. He is actaully a teenage idol; a movie star and an awesome singer (and we all know Minako LOVES idols!). His alter ego, Kaitou Ace, is a mysterious soldier. But he still seems to have a good heart. For example, he does girl's homework for them while they are asleep, he gives them stolen jewels, and takes them on romantic dates. Not to mention the fact that he is very handsome ^_^. All the girls swoon over him, and Minako does everything she can do just to be near him. One day, "the boss" told Minako she should try out for a movie that stars Saijou Ace. She tryed out and was actaully casted for the role! When she finally got to speak with Ace, it seemed that he knew a lot about Minako, possibly even more than she knew. He spoke of the Venus Droplet, a jewel that had spilled from her body when she was born from the foamy waves of the planet Venus 1,000 years ago... and Minako was apalled to find that he knew of her past life. He gave her a 24 karat gold ring with the Venus symbol on it... and she asked him why he gave it to her. "Because Minako..." he said, "I love you." And he kissed her on the lips, ever so gently... but when Minako replyed that she loved him, he quickly retorted that she was lying. He told her she was never serious, and always chose something more important over love. She defended herself, saying that love was the most important thing to her, that he was the most important thing to her... but then she began to realize that she never did seem to take love seriously, only half way. She would see a guy and think he was cute or sweet, but then she would quickly move on. She began to doubt her own self... "But this time I mean it!" she cried to him, "I swear on my life, I do love you Ace! I do... don't I?" "Why are you asking me?" he replies calmly. "Because I don't really know..." "You are still a child," he scoffs, "You have not fully awakened." With that, he left. Since that time, Minako began to have strange visions, or possibly flashbacks, of her past life. She would see someone reaching out to her through a heavy mist, crying out "Venus! Help me!" She assumed this person was Kaitou Ace. The next day, Venus got ready and went to the filming, but when she got there, LinLin, an Agent of the Dark Kingdom, attacked her. While she was running away from her attacker, Ace appeared. A vase was about to fall on his head, and she pushed him out of the way... and she landed on top of him o_O. At that moment Venus had the same flashback of the person reaching through the mist, but then she could see that it was a more feminine figure with long pigtails... she pushed Ace away, crying that he was not the one she was to protect. She transformed into Sailor V and finished off LinLin with her Venus Megaton Shower. She used so much power that the building began to collapse. A pillar falls and she is knocked out... and the memories began to flood in... she saw Princess Serenity surrounded by her four guardian senshi... and she remembers her duty. She was the Sailor Soldier of the Planet Venus, her duty was to protect Princess Serenity with her life. Her body was then clothed in a bright light, and her Sailor V fuku turned into her Sailor Venus fuku. She opened her eyes to see Kaitou Ace standing on the edge of the roof. He slowly approaches her and begins to tell his story... "I am Adonis," he says, taking off his mask, "I burn with passion for you. We were supposed to love one another. I am your mystical lover." With that, the sign of the planet Venus began to burn brightly on his forehead. "But you do not know me," he says. "In my previous life, I had no rank. I was a miserable soldier in a remote region. You lived in a palace overlooking Venus. The chosen strongest sailor soldier, shining brightly. Before long, for your mission, you went to the ruler of the solar system, the moon. That planet, radiating unsurpassed light. A planet eternally unreachable to us. Then, we were borrowed for the war taking place on the chief planet. By the soldiers under direct supervision of the Prince..." It was at that time that Adonis had been forced to turn into the evil Danburite, one of Queen Beryl's minions who ranked just below her four Lords, or Generals. It was then his mission to destroy the Sailor Senshi and all else that was good... and that meant his true love, his Princess, Venus. He held her so gently and looked deeply into her eyes... "I knew then... If I changed one wheel of fate, the two of us might fall in love..." he slowly pulled away from her, "But... There is only one fate. I was born into this world again. And it seems I've raised to the status where I can confront you." With that, he held a playing card to the sky, and sent out a blast of cards towards her. Venus jumped back, then threw a beam of light towards him, knocking him off balance and sending him over the edge of the roof... Venus grabbed his hand just before he fell, as Ace murmured... "My path ends, without ever reaching you... That is my fate..." He throws a playing card towards her, the Ace of Hearts. "I'll tell your final love fortune," he says. "Your love will be hopeless for all eternity." Venus looks shocked and upset, and Ace replies "What's wrong? You should look happier. Now you can go on living, without having to torment yourself over the ultimate choice, your love or your duty. Your fate is to continue fighting." His body began to disintegrate, but Venus still tryed to hold on to him... "Your true battle begins now..." He was gone. Venus whiped the tears from her face... now she finally realized her true duty. To fight... to protect Serenity... and to live a life barren of true love... |
