Sakura's Song By Sailor Serenity

Chapter 5

     "Her Majesty, Queen Hotaru of Saturn!"
    Hotaru walked down the grand staircase to greet the guests. She led them to the Grand Ballroom, which was decorated beautifully. It also had a small stage area, which had been set up last minute.
    "Sakura should be down soon." Hotaru announced. Just then the doors opened and the princess of Saturn came in. Hotaru stepped up and took the microphone off of it's stand from the stage. "Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Sakura of Saturn!" she announced into the microphone. Everything was silent as the Royalty of the Inner and Outer Planets bowed to Sakura. She smiled and made her way up to the stage area, where Hotaru handed her the microphone. Sakura was to give a short speech and then sing the song she had chosen to sing. She didn't want to sing her song, the one she always hummed to, so she decided to sing a different one she liked, "Oh StarryNight."
    Sakura took the microphone and smiled nervously out at her audience. "Umm..hi...thank you for coming to my birthday ball. Welcome to the Saturn Palace. I really appreciate you all coming tonight." Sakura continued her speech, more confident now that she was a little more used to the crowd. She searched the crowd for Peruru, hoping he'd be there, but saw no sign of him. She hoped he'd show up.
    "Now, I'm going to sing a song. It's called "Oh Starry Night" and it's one of my favorites." The music started and Sakura sang the first few lines, a little nervous at first. Suddenly, Peruru caught her eye from the audience and smiled. She smiled back, no longer nervous.
    "Oh, starry night is this the moment I've dreamed of--" suddenly Sakura was cut off by a loud crashing sound, the sound of a breaking window. Two figures floated in and landed on the stage. Sakura stepped back, not even hearing the loud thud of the microphone slipping from her hand.
    "Wh-who are you?!" Sakura asked.
    "My name is Emerald. I am the new queen of the Negaverse!"
    "What are you talking about? The Negaverse was destroyed!" Neo-King Endymion said.
    "Yeah, well soon it'll be back. And this time it'll succeed!!" Amethyst said, laughing wickedly. She stepped toward Sakura.
    "Sakura!" Hotaru shouted.
    Rini looked around quickly. She spotted an umbrella from when they had come in the rain. She grabbed and ran up to the stage.
    "Stay back!" she shouted, swinging the umbrella at Amethyst. Amethyst frowned at Rini and pushed past her. "Out of my way, brat!"
    "Leave her alone!"
    "Transform, scouts!" Serenity instructed.
    "Mercury Crystal Power!"
    "Jupiter Crystal Power!"
    "Mars Crystal Power!"
    "Venus Crystal Power!"
    "Just my luck, the Failure Scouts are in my way!" Emerald thought angrily. "Amethyst!"
    "Yes Majesty?"
    "Get that princess and lets get out of here!"
    "Oh no you don't!" Sailor Jupiter ran up and blocked Amethyst from getting Sakura.
    "Oh yes I do!" She waved her hand at the crowd, trapping them in a force field that didn't allow them to get to the stage. The scouts tried to break it, but nothing worked.
    "Sakura!" Queen Hotaru called out.
    Sakura stepped back, trying to think of a way to escape. "Get away from me, you evil witch!" She turned and tried to run, but the heeled shoes she was wearing made running difficult. Amethyst zapped her, and started draining her energy.
    "No!" Rini shouted.
    "Sakura, oh no! We have to do something!"
    "Saturn Power Trans-" Sakura tried to transform, but couldn't. Amethyst knocked the transformation stick out of her hand. "Nooo! Aaaaaahhhhh!! Help me!"
    When Sakura's energy was drained, she collapsed on the stage. Amethyst closed the locket that held Sakura's energy.
    "That was all too easy!" Amethyst laughed. "Well, we'll be going now!"
    "I don't think so! Cosmic Moon Power!" Serenity broke the force field and ran out. Hotaru ran to Sakura.
    Amethyst tried to get away, but Serenity and the scouts stopped her in her tracks.
    "Get out of my way, Sailors!" Amethyst said
    "Leave Sakura alone!" voice exclaimed.
    "Peruru!" Rini exclaimed, happy that he had come. "We have to save Sakura from these evil creatures. Moon Prism Power!"
    "Venus Power!"
    "Mars Power!"
    "Jupiter Power!"
    "Mercury Power!"
    "We'll help you guys!" Princess Melina said. Except she looked different. They all did. Transformed, they were the future scouts.
    Peruru ran to Queen Hotaru, who held Sakura in her arms.
    "Drop that energy locket!" Sailor Mini Venus shouted.
    "We are the tiny soldiers of the future planets!"
    "I'm Sailor Mini Moon!"
    "I'm Mini Venus!"
    "I'm Mini Mars!"
    "I'm Mini Jupiter!"
    "And I'm Mini Mercury!"
    "We will not let you witches hurt our friend. In the name of love and justice, we'll punish you!"
    The mini scouts joined their mothers to help fight. Amethyst only glanced disdainfully at the small pretty soldiers. "There's no way you little pipsqueaks are gonna beat me!" She shouted. Queen Emerald turned to Serenity.
    "You destroyed my mother and her kingdom!" she shouted, glaring at the Queen of the Moon. "So I will destroy you and yours! My only mission in life is to complete what my mother started and didn't get to finish because of you Sailor brats, prancing around in your fancy little sailor fukus. Well, not this time! You think you can destroy me? Think again!"
    "Beryl was your mother?" Sailor Venus asked.
    "Yes. Yes, she was." Emerald's evil expression turned pained. "And you moon viruses destroyed her!"
    "Well, she had it coming, and so do you, Negascum!" Sailor Jupiter said.
    "You can't just ruin my daughter's thirteenth birthday and get away with it," Queen Hotaru added. She stood, hed up her power stick and shouted, "Saturn Planet Power!"
    "Uranus Planet Power!"
    "Neptune Planet Power!"
    "Pluto Planet Power!"
    The outer sneshi joined the nner senshi and their Queen.
    Peruru now held the unconscious Saturn princess in his arms. "Hang on, Sakura. You can make it." Sakura's only reply was a soft moan.
    Amethyst rolled her eyes at the scouts. "I haven't got time for kiddie battles. I have better things to do."
    "Like what? Go ruin more birthday parties?" Sailor Uranus remarked sarcastically. "You know what I think, Scouts? I think she's chicken."
    "I AM NOT!!!!" Amethyst shouted at the top of her lungs angrily. "I can take on any of you, any day!"
    "Prove you're not chicken! Battle me! Winner takes the energy locket!" Sailor Saturn challenged. She glared back at Amethyst.
    "You wouldn''t battle me if your life depended on it!" Amethyst stalled, knowing she probably couldn't beat Saturn.
    "Well, guess what? My life doesn't depend on it, my daughter's does. And I would give anything to save her!"
    "Saturn, don't! You need back up!" Neo-Queen Serenity cautioned.
    "I must battle. For my Sakura." Saturn turned to her friends. Amethyst chose this time to make the first attack. She knocked Sailor Saturn down with a powerful force of energy.
    "No!!" The rest of the scouts shouted.
