LORRIANE: A Siren goes by and I have to live it all over again.  Two, three, four times a day.  Three, four, time a night.  How many times can I live it again!  I'm in bed.  Waiting for Leo to come home.  I hear a knock.  Mosco and Corvo. 'Come quick.' 'What's the matter?'  'Leo.'  They pull me and Lorr down the street.  Sirens and flashers, red and blue, red and blue, spinning faster then my head.  Cop cars and fire engine headlights aimed at two car wrecks stuck together.  Cops with crowbars tearing at the doors.  Firemen with chainsaws.  Paramedics on the hood of the car that ran the STOP sign, pull the man out of the windshield.  He's dead.  They streach him out and wire his cheast and electrify his heart and give him life again.  And in the other car, a screaming man with a broken steering wheel in his cheast and blood on his face, calls my name...'Lorraine'...'Lorraine'...and it's Leo's voice.  And I see him.  And he see's me.  And I laugh.  That's right I laugh.  A laugh that is as big as the car wreck.      It just pukes out of me, all the years and all the talk and all the cups of coffee and the fights and the making up and the nights he flicked his headlightsin the alley and I climbed out my window when I was fifteen and he was thirty-one and we'd skinny dipp in the quarry and he'd throw a blanket on top of his '57 Chevy and turn up the radio and he'd laugh and love me and bite me and adore me and destroy me with his pleasure until the birds sand and then hold me like he would break me in half...and I laugh.  Out in the street.  And he was nothing to me.  Just another chicken in the barrel flapping around.  Nothing.  I laugh and the cops stop.  The firemen, the paramedics stop.  The nieghbors with their hungry eyes and garbage mouths stop.  Police dogs stop.  The air, the world, the moon, stop.
