| .:Harry Potter:. He is THE man! Basically he comes from a Pureblood family and his parents are named James and Lily, or should I say were. This is because they were brutally murdered by the most e-e-e-evil man on the planet, a deadly and powerful wizard called Lord Voldemort (A.K.A The Dark Lord) Harry is currently on a journey of discovery as he has lived with his awful Aunt Petunia and Uncle Dursley as well as his cousin Dudley. For 11 years before he even knew he was a wizard! (And a damn good one at that!) Harry discovered his love and talent of Quidditch in his first year and is Seeker of the Gryffindor team. His Best Mates are Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. At first Harry reckoned he was rubbish at all the spells but he has proven his intelligence by not only performing a 'Patronus' at the age of 13, but being able to compete in the Tri-Wizard tournament. But Harry's biggest achievement is escaping Voldemort FOUR times! The first time Harry met Voldy was when his mother and father were killed. His mother was killed right next to him, but what Voldy didn't know is that Lily (Harry's mum) had put a spell on Harry to prevent him dying; basically she sacrificed herself for him. So when Voldy tried to finish off Harry the spell bounced off Harry (leaving him with his unique and eye catching scar) and almost destroyed Voldy. So now Harry is one of the most Famous boys to live therefore he gets masses of stick from his arch nemesis Draco Malfoy (who plays seeker on the e-e-evil Slytherin's team) and Draco's Head of House and the Potions master (also a former servant of Voldemort) Professor Severus Snape. Snape taunts Harry about his father as they were at school at the same time. Snape and Harry got a nasty shock when Sirius Black (escaped convict from Azkaban (prison) mass murderer...blah) popped up and surprised them all by not only being a good guy but also being Harry's Godfather! Woah! Harry's other cool friend is the gentle giant Hagrid who has an infatuation with all creatures weird and dangerous and has helped Harry when he most needed it! So that's Harry, let's read on... .:Ron Weasley:. Ron comes from a large family, (5 older brothers, 1 younger sister) He lives outside a village called Ottery St Catchpole, which I think is in the country side near London, as they journey in the flying car from Harry's house in Surrey didn't take that long so the Weasley's must live near London, it depends how fast the car was going! Anyway, Ron's family is poor, and with a large family to feed and clothe and equip for Hogwarts this equals not a lot per sibling, so Ron is often in handouts. This makes him the victim of the rich Malfoy, who can wind Ron up in a second about his family. Ron's parents are called Arthur and Molly, and his brothers are (in order) Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred & George (twins). His younger sister is Ginny who is a year younger and the youngest. Ron is a typical boy, whose temper gets the better of him sometimes. But his sheer loyalty to Harry and is bravery are commendable, as he has stood beside Harry throughout the years of knowing Harry. He has a mischievous streak like Fred and George and doesn't mind breaking the rules. Ron is average at school and has not failed one exam, even though he hates divination! (Who doesn't?) He gets hotheaded with Hermione a lot (love is in the air...?) but if anything ever happened to them he would be devastated. Ron loves the Chudley Cannons Quidditch team and his room at The Burrow (his home) is covered in Chudley Cannon posters! Ron has the trademark red hair with freckles and 'a large nose' He is taller than Harry and skinny like him. .:Hermione Granger:. Hermione is the swot of the lot! She is the faithful friend of Harry and Ron's and the oldest as her birthday is in September! She is the cleverest witch of their year and indeed Hogwarts and her great knowledge has helped Harry and Ron out of more than a few scrapes when uncovering the mysteries of Hogwarts. When we first meet Hermione in their first year at Hogwarts she is extremely uptight and thinks it a treasonous crime to break any rules - however trivial they are. She has although, loosened up over the past few years and now Ron and Harry along with Hermione can discover more than they imagined (how corny - sorry :P) Hermione is - we think the only child to her two Muggle parents how are both dentists and she is the proud owner of a slightly twisted but intelligent cat Crookshanks, who helped unearth the mystery of Ron's rat Scabbers (Peter Pettigrew) and caused many arguments between Hermione and Ron. And now the rest (well...some of them!) in no particular order! Draco Malfoy - a Slytherin in the same year as Harry. Draco's father is called Lucius Malfoy and is a Death Eater (servant of Voldemort). Draco was made Slytherin seeker in his second year and takes great delight in triumphing and gloating at Harry's expense. He especially likes to get at Harry Via. Rita Skeeter. He's a favourite of Snape's and takes advantage of Harry Ron and Hermione in Potions. His friends are called Crabbe and Goyle, who are two large idiots. Fred & George Weasley - Ron's older twin brothers. These twins are identical and one is hardly ever seen without the other, and they are extremely fond of mischief. They found the Marauder's Map in Filch's office and gave it to Harry. They love practical jokes and are skilled in making people laugh. They terrorise their sensible older brother Percy and provide many laughs for the family (but not for their mother!!)Both are on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as excellent beaters, "They're practically a pair of bludgers themselves" Oliver Wood, Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone. Neville Longbottom Neville's a forgetful boy in Harry's year. He lives with his grandmother because his mother and father were subjected to much torture thanks to some Death Eaters so became insane, and don't remember who Neville is. Neville is scared of Professor Snape and isn't that bright, but he tries. Cho Chang:. Cho is a year older than Harry and resides in Ravenclaw. She is pretty and quite short. Harry has a huge crush on her but she and Cedric Diggory were an item so Harry could do nothing. She plays Seeker in Ravenclaw's Quidditch team .:Vincent Crabbe & Gregory Goyle:. Malfoy's two cronies. Both Crabbe and Goyle are large and tough. They are both in Slytherin and their fathers are Death Eaters with Lucius Malfoy. .:Ginny Weasley:. Ginny is the youngest of the Weasleys, and the only girl. She has a crush on Harry from book 2 (or even book 1) but is slowly getting over it after being asked by Neville to the Yule Ball in Book 4! She is sweet and rather sensitive. She gets teased by Fred and George and chose the name 'Pigwidgeon' to Ron's small owl. .:Angelina Johnson:. Angelina's a chaser for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and is two years older than Harry Ron and Hermione. .:Parvati Patil:. A girl in Gryffindor in Harry's year. She accompanied Harry to the Yule Ball and loves divination. She has a twin sister Padma in Ravenclaw and her best friend is Lavender Brown. .:Lavender Brown:. A Gryffindor in Harry's year. Her best friend is Parvati Patil and she too loves Divination. .:Seamus Finnegan:. An Irish lad in Harry's year. He loves Quidditch and shares a dorm with Dean, Neville, Ron and Harry. Is always nice to Harry and sticks up for him when need be. .:Dean Thomas:. Best friend of Seamus in Harry's year and house at Hogwarts. Very good at drawing! .:Lee Jordan:. A Gryffindor in Fred and George's year at school. He loves getting into trouble just as much as Fred and George, and commentates the Quidditch matches at Hogwarts. .:Cedric Diggory:. A tall, good-looking boy two years above Harry. Or he was until he was zapped by Voldemort in Book 4. He was the Hufflepuff Seeker and put together a good side to play Quidditch. He was always fair and polite to everyone regardless of where they came from or their reputation. He quite fancied Cho Chang. Rather famous for beating Harry at Quidditch (stupid Dementors!) .:Alicia Spinnet:. A Chaser for Gryffindor house team. She's in Fred & George's year, making her two years older than Harry. |
