| This is Sayla and she is Carrie's lovely magical Kitten. She is from a litter of three when Daani (Carrie's brother) rescued them from Diagon Alley. Sayla is a loyal kitten who loves to be the centre of attention and has her shelf in the HOM classroom where Carrie teaches. Like the students Sayla has an on going war with Mrs. Norris and causes many fights in the corridors which Carrie tries not to laugh about when Filch starts screaming at her. Sayla has a cream and brown coat and a perfect brown circle beneath her chin. |

| Lukka is the faithful and patient owl of Carrie Monaghan. He was the first owl born in her care and he is very attached to her. His tawny feathers are very glossy and he never spends any time in the Owelry as he stays in the rafters of the History of Magic classroom, if he isn't out hunting! His name means 'luck' in Latin as he wasn't meant to live long when he hatched and he was nursed back to health by Carrie. |
| Nibbana is Daani's Magical Kitten who lives with him within the castle grounds. His mischievous nature sometimes lands him in hot water, especially with Filch when he brings in birds and spreads the feathers all over the school corridors. He is quite reserved around new people (unlike Sayla) but loves Daani loads, and loves him more when there's fish at the staff table for dinner. He is the brother of Sayla, whose magical powers are yet to be found... |

| Fazila – a muddy tawny owl that Katerina has had since she was five. She is very swift when delivering post. There is no real distinctive physical feature about her, although she is very untrusting, due to Fred and George playing with her when they were little. |
| Massindra is Katerina’s pet kitten. She was a birthday present from the twins. She is easily recognisable as Katerina’s cat because she has pink and green eyes and a dark smudge on her nose. Massindra is a black and white tabby. She is very playful and has only been known to scratch one person, Marcus Flint. |
