Two Birds

Two birds flying high,
Trying to determine which one is greater.
One strong and mighty,
The other agile and cunning.
Does might make right,
Or will intelligence win overall.
The world the referee and spectators,
While time dictates outcome.
Blitz-krieg offensive,
Reversed into defensive.
Outright victory,
Stalemate.
Opposing generals suddenly approaching,
Unsure of next move.
Reaction to slow,
Slam into window.
Feathers flying in the zephyr,
As the blood-stained body falls.
To bad society can’t learn,
From metaphoric birds.
