Music Now Playing: The Sun In The Stream |
The Sirens |
by Myself |
If, like me, you travel the seas, Beware of where ye go; For there are such places Not meant for thee. I'll tell you what I know. We'd travelled far on our ocean voyage, Around the Cape was long; But what we dreaded Was just ahead. A beautiful, magic song. The Sirens sat upon the rocks, Three naked bodies there; Singing sweetly to us, With arms outstretched. Sitting on the lair. "Keep on rowing!" the Captain said, Tied there on the mast; We stared at Beauty, No better women . Could we really last? They came nearer to the boat, But we didn't meet hit the rock. Though the Sirens' song Had pierced the minds, Our hearts had managed to block. Years later, I look upon the sea, And think of what happened there. That sweet song of love, I hear it still, And see that deadly, rocky lair. |
