The Ship
Of Babes
by Myself
"Be warned!" said Merlin to the King,
"Thy life shalt be taken one day,
By a person unknown,
Born of the first of May."

The realm was searched, and all were found,
Including a young Mordred.
Elders were threatened if they did not
Doeth as they were said.

Their offspings were released,
And turned over to the law.
Alas, for them, the babes they had,
Were not seen any more.

The babes were casteth out to sea,
In a ship on an open deck,
Where the winds of fate sent the vessel
Crashing to a wreck.

One child liveth from this time,
For all the others were dead.
It was the one Merlin warneth of,
Yes, his name - - Mordred!

Galahad In The
Castle Of The Maidens
by Sara Teasdale
The other maidens raised their eyes to him
Who stumbled in before them when the fight
Had left him victor, with a victor's right.
I think his eyes with quick hot tears grew dim;
He scarcely saw her swaying white and slim,
And trembling slightly, dreaming of his might,
Nor knew he touched her hand, as cool and light
As a wan wraith's beside a river's rim.
The other maidens raised their eyes to see
And only she has hid her face away,
And yet I think she loved him more than they,
And very fairly fashioned was her face.
Yet for Love's shame and sweet humility,
She could not meet him with their queenlike grace.
Onward To
Glory
by Myself
Onward to Glory with the Knights
From the Table Round.
Looking for the Grail of old,
That never has been found.

Travelling many lands afar,
Encountering dangers by the score.
All for the Holy Chalice,
Known by ancient lore.

If we can find the Blessed Cup
Our knights will be covered in Glory.
Known for generations hence,
An everlasting story.

It is said the Grail can only be taken
By one that is fair and pure.
Is there one among our band
Who can of that honour be sure?
