We managed to arrive in New Mexico just in time for this annual event. Neither of us had attended before, and were curious. Were we ever glad we went! It was an immense gathering of over 700 hot air balloon teams, and the daily 'Mass Ascention' event was awesome. You get to wander around on the fields, amongst the balloons and teams and other fascinated viewers.
According to Kodak, this is the most photographed event in the world. You will see why - it's almost impossible to take a bad picture of these things! And the weather was perfect, with NM's blue skies and mountain vistas surrounding the field.
This is something everyone should see!
