Friday morning and our first full day back in Australia. We have 5 weeks left before we head off to Fiji and our goal is to make our way through Sydney and all the way up the coast to Cairns. We will spend this weekend here in Melbourne before taking off to Sydney on Monday morning.

We met up with Martin Williams today around noon at the winery that he co-owns. Martin is the son of Pauline and Graham Williams who are friends of the family that we will be visiting with in Whale Beach, just north of Sydney. Martin spent a better part of an hour showing us around the winery including the processing and aging of a good wine. We enjoyed meeting him and appreciated the tour on such a busy day as Martin had scheduled. We agreed to meet later this evening for drinks in downtown.

After our visit we ran around town completing some basic chores including a haircut for me. We returned home around 4:00 pm where we spent the afternoon chatting with Elaine and working on journals. Dinner was, again, wonderful as we are well fed at the Anderson's. We had agreed to meet Martin back in town around 10:30 pm but by 9:00 pm we were starting to wear down (Our body clocks were still 2 hours ahead on New Zealand time) and we phoned Martin to say thanks but that we would not make it into town tonight. He had plans the rest of the weekend so we did not get to meet with him again. We crashed early tonight, as we mentioned before, we were still on the wrong time zone.

Saturday morning and today is a chore day specifically related to website updates and digital picture preservation. Our day started with a stop at Rose's house where we spent an hour transferring photos to CD's and then making copies of CD's for protection, and of course a backup. We also uploaded journals to the website to be posted later this afternoon. We thanked Rose and told her we would see her later as we had planned to have dinner with her tonight.
We then stopped at the train station in Ivanhoe and took the next train into Melbourne Station. We stopped for lunch at the mall before heading over to the internet cafe to work. Once at the internet cafe we worked for four hours updating the website with Erin's Tasmania journals and both of our New Zealand journals. We were very pleased with our progress and the fact that we are almost up to date after being behind for so long. We didn't get a chance to add photos today because we needed to resize them and the internet cafe did not have photo shop available.
After the internet cafe we hurried back to the house taking the train back to Ivanhoe then returning to the house. We had a few minutes to relax before we were heading back out for dinner.
Elaine rode with us to Rose's as she was the elected babysitter for the evening. The benefit of having the parents living near you (possibly). Dinner was at a Vietnamese restaurant that Rose and Brad frequent. Dinner was very good and we enjoyed spending the evening with Rose talking about all sorts of topics. After dinner we returned to Rose's house, picked up Elaine, and returned home. We ended up watching a movie together until after midnight before crashing.
