Today my parents, sister, and Jim and Sue left around 6:30 am for the 3 hour ride into Nadi for the day trip with Whales Tales. Tim, Stef, Judy, Erin and I stayed behind to enjoy a relaxing day at Crusoe's. The Whales Tales crowd would not be back until 9:30 pm so they will definitely have a long day ahead of them. The rest of us awoke at our leisure, and made our way to breakfast as we saw fit. At this point I was waking around 6:30 am and enjoying the last minutes of the sunrise while Erin was content in sleeping in until 7:30 am or so.

After breakfast we all went out on the reef for some snorkeling. Tim, Erin, and I took the kayaks while Stef and Judy took the Spy boats which were like boogie boards that had see through windows so you could swim while watching the reef and fish below you. They were actually pretty cool. We spent better than an hour swimming around the reef watching the fish and other ocean life.

Most of us had lunch at the restaurant while being served by the pool. The pool area is where we spent most the afternoon. The ladies took some time to tour through the neighboring village where they purchased some hand made fans for the wedding on Thursday. The ladies only bought two but asked for eight more by Thursday morning. They felt as though they had asked too much as the maker seemed pretty stressed over having to make eight more within two days. Definitely a different lifestyle than ours.

After a tough day of lounging around most of us were not hungry for a full meal at dinner so Judy, Erin and I skipped dinner for cheese and crackers. Stef and Tim had dinner at the restaurant and they returned to let us know that it was the best meal so far. The menu was ala carte. Stef and Tim stopped by after dinner and we chatted about all kinds of things before they called it a night around 9:30 pm. We noticed that the other group returned around 9:45 pm and had lights out by 10:00 pm. They must have had a long day. Erin and I stayed up and read for a while before retiring ourselves. This would be our last night sleeping together until we were married (It is really only one night apart!!). Tomorrow two rental cars are being dropped off for our use for the next three days. What to do???
