We awoke at a casual pace this morning but by 10:00 am Erin had the first load of clothes in the laundry and was working on the website while I had gone out to buy some items for the car. I spent a few hours at the local K-Mart and picked up a cooler (so we could buy and keep groceries cold), floor mats, antifreeze, and car wash equipment. The car was filthy throughout as we had driven it on many a dusty dirt road on Kangaroo Island. I also looked for a place to transfer photo's from a camera card to a CD but all of the places that I located had limitations. I returned home around 1:30 pm to lunch and a long phone call from the parents  before heading out to the nearest car wash. Melbourne, like many cities around Australia, is on water rations so car washing at home is not permitted. After a good car wash I spent the next hour or better cleaning the car from top to bottom, including vacuuming. I finally had to quit around 5:30 pm as dinner was at 6:30 pm and we still had to pack for the trip over to Tasmania tonight.

Dinner was fantastic but we had to quickly excuse ourselves and load the car. We had to depart by around 7:15 pm to make the ferry by 8:00 pm so we could load and depart by 9:00 pm. With only one miscue getting through town we found our way to the ferry docks on time and were on board safe and sound by 8:15 pm.  Once on board we looked around until we came upon our cruise seats on the 7th floor towards the front of the ferry. We also ran into our Swiss friends, Marcel and Eveline, that we had met in Mt. Gambier earlier in the week. We walked around the ferry and chatted with them until 11:30 pm or so before returning to our cruise seats to try and sleep.
