Prague had been recommended to us by hordes of other European travelers as a 'must see' city. Situated outside the European Union in the Czech Republic, it required a change in currency and of course, language.
We arrived just a little over a month after the intense flooding which made world news headlines. The recovery of the city was amazing - in most areas, you could hardly tell this immense damage had occurred!
It offers a long history, beautiful monuments and architecture, museums, and relatively inexpensive costs for travelers. Some of the buildings are almost fairy-tale beautiful and provide endless postcard fodder! |
